“Fuzzy” - The Incredible Moses Leroy: When I was in high school, I found this single at Cheapo for 99 cents. I obviously bought it because the song was called “Fuzzy” and the front of the case was covered in pink fur.
“La La La” – The Bird and the Bee: Time machines and tangerines! This song makes me want to dance around in a circle.
“No One’s Gonna Love You” – Band of Horses: My heart breaks every time I listen.
“Shove It” – Santogold: I like listening to this song while walking through the crowds in Union Square on my way home from work. It pumps me up. Also, this chick is way cool.
“Skinny Love” – Bon Iver: Beautiful and honest.
“Bed” – J Holiday: I want J Holiday to put me to bed. And I don’t even know what he looks like, or any of his hobbies.
“Mahgeetah” – My Morning Jacket: I don’t get the title, but I get the song.
“Take Me To The Riot” - Stars: They can take me anywhere.
“Living Proof” - Cat Power: If Cat Power asked me to marry her, I would say yes!
“Nasty Girl” - Inaya Day: Ultimate workout song.
“Take a Chance” – The Magic Numbers: Dance in your underware!
“Misunderstood” - Wilco: Love it all.
“The Painter” – I’m From Barcelona: Ever since I saw all twenty-something of them perform at McCarren Park Pool last summer - shaking bananas and doing mental dances on stage - I’ve been hooked.
“Happiness” – Goldfrapp: I listen to this song a lot.
“Little Bit” – Lykke Li: Perfect. And the video is perfect, too. Especially Lykke’s jacket and the dancing.
“Sundress” - Ben Kweller: You’re so beautiful / I want to hold you in my hand.
“Love Punch” - The Chalets: This song makes me want to punch a boy in the face.
“Busy” - St. James Inc: Lilly and I discovered these dudes at Lollapalooza 2006 and listened to their EP the entire drive home. The lead singer was cute. And the band was from Texas, our next home!
“Out Of Control” - She Wants Revenge: So. Hot.
“Jerusalem” - Matisyahu: This song makes me jam out wherever I am.
